Hideyuki Miura is Professor in the Faculty of Social Sciences at Kyorin University and Specially Appointed Professor at the Institute of Science Tokyo. He received his B.A. in Comparative Culture from Sophia University and his Ph.D. in International Relations from the Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies, Waseda University.
Prior to joining Kyorin University, he served as a Research Associate at the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), Research Associate at the Waseda University Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies, and held academic positions as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Kyorin University. In 2025, he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Center for International Studies, University of Southern California. He currently serves as a member of the Expert Committee on the Follow-up of the Comprehensive TPP-Related Policy Framework under the Cabinet Secretariat of Japan.
His research interests include international political economy, trade policy, industrial policy, economic security, and international relations in the Indo-Pacific region.
