Masanori Hasegawa is a professor at the Center for Liberal Arts, Shonan Institute of Technology. He holds his MA in Political Science from Waseda University and his Ph.D. in Political Science from Tokai University. His research focuses on economic security and economic statecraft, especially concerning China, the United States, and Japan. He has authored numerous books and papers in these fields, including Economic Security: How the Economy is Leveraged for National Security (2013) and Economic Security Revisited: Economic Instruments for National Security (2024).
