
Dr. Kazutoshi Suzuki is a Professor at Sophia University. He earned his Ph.D. in International Relations from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tokyo. His research interests center on international negotiation, globalization, and theory building using multi-agent simulation. He is a recipient of the Ohira Memorial Prize for his work, The Political Process of the U.S.-Japan Structural Impediments Initiative (Nichibei Kouzou Kyougi no Seiji Katei, Minerva Shobo, 2013). His recent works on trade policy include “Multilateralism and Discrimination in GATT Round Negotiations” (SIIR Working Paper, No.5, October 17, 2023) and “Structuring International Negotiation with Tactics: A Proactive Turn in Japanese FTA Policy” (SIIR Working Paper, No.7, November 19, 2023).
