The 200th Diplomatic Roundtable, co-hosted by the Japan Forum on International Relations and two other organizations, was held on the theme of “Historic chance for peace in South Caucasus: challenges and opportunities”, with Elchin Amirbayov, The Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Special Assignments, as the guest speaker. Elchin Amirbayov, The Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Special Assignments, gave a Roundtable talk on “Historical Background of the Azerbaijan-Armenia Conflict”, “Ongoing Discussions on the Peace Agreement”, “Path to Diplomatic Talks”, “Consequences of the War”, “The Role of the Western Powers”, “Azerbaijan’s Relations with China and India”, “Azerbaijan and Japan”, and “BRICS”, followed by a lively Q&A session with the attendees.
