The 199th Diplomatic Roundtable, co-hosted by the Japan Forum on International Relations and two other organizations, was held on the theme of “Asian Powers’ Involvement in the Middle East, with a Focus on the Gaza War”, with Yoram EVRON, Associate Professor in the Department of Asian Studies at the University of Haifa, as the guest speaker. The Roundtable was held as outlined in 1.-5. and a summary is shown in 6. below.

Yoram EVRON, Associate Professor in the Department of Asian Studies at the University of Haifa, gave a Roundtable talk on “Friendly Relations Between the Middle East and Asian Countries after the Cold War”, “Trade Between Asian Powers and Israel”, “China`s Response to the Gaza War”, and “Outlook for the Future, etc.”, followed by a lively Q&A session with the attendees.
